Starting September 1, SB 17 restricts the sale and lease of Texas property and interests to certain individuals, entities, and governments associated with countries designated by the intelligence community or the governor as national security threats.
You and your agents are not responsible for enforcing this new law. That’s the Texas attorney general’s job, along with implementing procedures for reviewing transactions to determine whether an investigation is warranted.
