Leaving Soon: Broker-to-Broker Compensation in Listing Agreements

Soon, broker-to-broker compensation will be removed from the Texas REALTORS® listing agreements for residential sales transactions. This change is intended to provide greater clarity to consumers and help reduce your risk of dealing with unhappy clients, lawsuits, and commission disputes. It will also align with upcoming anticipated revisions to the promulgated residential contracts issued by TREC, which are expected to likewise remove broker-to-broker compensation notices.

Watch this video to learn more. Stay tuned for more updates as the Texas REALTORS® Residential Forms Task Force finalizes the revised language, and as TREC considers related revisions. Expect final changes to be adopted this summer.
